She is a versatile writer whose passion for storytelling spans multiple genres and languages. Her work—ranging from thought-provoking short stories to evocative poems—has appeared in numerous magazines and journals in both English and Spanish.

She co-authored and translated the award-winning bilingual children’s book Grandpa’s Magic Tortilla, which won a New Mexico Book Award for Young Readers.

Fueled by a lifelong fascination with pop culture, mythology, and all things supernatural, Rosalee has been crafting stories since she wrote her first short story at fourteen. Her writing journey paused for a time while she raised a family, earned her master’s degree, and dedicated years of service to the University of New Mexico Cancer Center. Now retired, she has returned to her creative roots with fierce dedication and a flair for the unexpected.

She recently completed Mireya: A Vampire Story, the first novel in her dark fiction series, and is currently working on the second installment. Beyond the world of vampires, her writing continues to explore a range of genres—from haunting poetry to magical realism and stories grounded in cultural memory.

An accomplished visual artist, Rosalee splits her time between the lush mountains of Costa Rica and the vibrant cultural landscape of New Mexico—always chasing stories that linger in the shadows.
