Rosalee Montoya is an author, poet, and artist whose work in Spanish and English appears in magazines and journals and an anthology of New Mexico women writers. She co-authored and translated the award-winning bilingual children's book, Grandpa's Magic Tortilla. Mireya. A Vampire Story is her debut vampire book.

She is a versatile writer whose passion for storytelling crosses various genres and languages. Her work, ranging from thought-provoking short stories to evocative poems, has been published in several magazines and journals in English and Spanish.
She co-authored and translated the award-winning bilingual children’s book Grandpa’s Magic Tortilla, which garnered the New Mexico Book Award Winner for Young Readers.
Fueled by a potent mix of pop culture, mythology, and an insatiable thirst for supernatural fiction, Rosalee has crafted interesting tales since she wrote her first short story at 14. She briefly paused her writing journey to raise a family, earn a master’s degree, and dedicated herself to her work at the University of New Mexico Cancer Center. Now retired, she has returned to her creative pursuits.
Rosalee recently completed the first book in her exciting vampire series, featuring her favorite vampire, Mireya. She is currently working on the second installment, promising more intriguing adventures and twists.
An accomplished artist, Rosalee divides her time between the dense mountains of Costa Rica and the vibrant cultural environment of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Stay tuned for more fang-tastic adventures!

Rosalee splits her time between the dense mountains of Costa Rica and the enchanting landscape of her beloved New Mexico. She’s currently working on the second novel of her thrilling vampire series, starring her favorite bloodsucker, Mireya. Stay tuned for more fang-tastic adventures!
